How to Create a Written Daily Plan of Action for the Full and Part-Time Marketer

Posted by:

videodir_daily_written_plan_actionIn order to find success in your business, you MUST create a Daily Action Plan.  The key is to actually follow the plan every day.

So get ready for some training on how to create your written daily plan of action.  Regardless if you are a part-time or full-time marketer, there are NO EXCUSES. This is YOUR business; run it like one!

Determining Allotted Time

Whether you are allotting two hours or eight hours into your business, you want to break down that time frame.

  1. How much time are you willing to commit to your business every day? Yes, I used the word commit.  Because if you create a plan and then do nothing with it, why bother even creating one.
  2. What time of day will you be able to work your business — Morning, Afternoon, Evening? Depending on the time of day, you want to know what company webinars are available.
  3. How long will it take to complete each task?  In order to determine how many activities to put on your daily action plan, you will need to know the amount of time it will require to complete each task.
  4. Which tasks will be on the action plan?  You do not want to add too many tasks that will cause you to be overwhelmed.

By answering these questions, you should be able to find adequate time to build your business every day.  It is the consist use of your daily action plan that will bring you success.

Recommended Activities

Post on Social Media

You want to make a presence on social media.  For years I was told I should not talk about my business on social media.  However, the truth is you are in business and if you do not advertise your business, no one will know what you do.

There are other daily activities you can do on social media to balance out your advertising. Be sure to offer value to the industry. In between your advertising posts, you want to share inspirational posts, funny stories and ‘how to’ in marketing posts.

Depending on time allotted, choose up to 3 Social Media (i.e., Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+) and CUT & PASTE the post to each of your chosen Social Media.

Allot time to connect with new people.  I am talking about actual conversations with 5 to 20 contacts per day, not just sending out private messages.  Again, if you are a full-time marketer, you want to be talking to 10 to 20 people per day.

Place solo ad using only one source

If you are marketing full time, you can add two or three more sources.  The point is to monitor the amount of activities in your allotted time frame.

You can use free or paid services.  If using free service, you will need to also allot time to surf for the necessary credits.  Choose a service that will allow ads to be sent daily.

Consistency is what will make your ad pay off.  It may take your ad to be seen by the same audience several times before they will take action.

Note: Paid services have a much higher response rate than FREE

 Log into your company webinars

You want to support your team and others. An empty room leaves a lasting impression. People will make a decision on their first impression of what they see, make it a good one!

Also, if you want your downline to attend the webinars, then lead by example and log in to continue to learn and support your team.

Once you understand the presentation, you do not necessarily have to be listening to the webinar; mute the call and go about your business. Just having your presence in the room will enhance that first impression!

Place 3  to 5 classified ads using one source

Choose once classified source and place 3 to 5 ads per day.  Most classified sites has several categories, so it will take time to post in all those different categories. DO NOT try and post them all at once.

Have the ads placed on auto renewal.  This will free you up from having to keep track of the ads to renew.

Get a daily calendar with the hours of the day and start planning your day.  In between times of posting on social media, schedule when you will work on creative activities such as developing training materials as giveaways and writing on your blog.

By applying just one of these tips to creating a daily action plan, you will be one step closer to reaching your goals.  I must stress again the importance of being consistent with your daily activities.

You will never know who is watching you.  They will determine if they want to be part of your team by how you run your business.

This post was really inspiring to me, Tamra. It really explained the daily shedule I should be following in building my business. The light-bulb came on as I read it, and altho I have seen others written on scheduling, this explained it the best. Something compelled me to scroll thru the other posts on LinkedIn, where I found this article.
    Thank you so much.
