In fact, the idioms &#8220;busy as a beaver&#8221; and &#8220;eager beaver&#8221; are synonymous with being industrious and hardworking. When you understand your leadership style, you can determine how this affects those you directly influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leadership comes in many shapes, forms and people. So, let\u2019s put a face to the name of these top seven leadership styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leadership Style #1 Transformational Leader<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Often called \u201cblue sky thinkers\u201d, transformational types of leaders are growth minded. This is generally known as\u00a0<strong>one of the least intrusive forms of leadership;\u00a0<\/strong>this translates to \u201clet them do.\u201d This is therefore considered a very hand-off leadership style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leadership Style #4 Authoritative Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authoritative leaders are often referred to as visionary. Leaders who adopt this style consider themselves mentors to their followers. Not to be confused with authoritarian leadership, authoritative leadership emphasizes a \u201cfollow me\u201d approach. This way, leaders\u00a0<strong>chart a course and encourage those around them to follow.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leadership Style #5  Participative Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes referred to as democratic leadership, participative leadership is a leadership style that encourages leaders to\u00a0<strong>listen to their employees and involve them in the decision-making proces<\/strong>s. This leadership style requires leaders to be inclusive, utilize good communication skills, and, crucially, be able to share power\/responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whatever you choose, be open and honest.
