Today, I told Janet that I want to quit. It is not because I am not able to do Affiliate Marketing, it is because the leads (members) do not respond. You call, you text and you email them but they do not respond. You feel like you want them to succeed in their life and get them out from the daily rug rat but somehow you do not succeed.
I feel Affiliate Marketing is not rocket science. It’s very easy. But I am not succeeding. Talked to Janet. She was very nice as usual. She said three things:

Build Your List, Build Your List, Build Your List
Follow Up, Follow Up, Follow Up
She said, if you do these things consistently and persistently, you will succeed. Please do not hesitate to write me your feedback.
It was little while that I didn’t touch basis with my members so I thought let’s chat with them. I feel it is very important to have a regular conversation with them either via email or text or by phone. Affiliate Marketing is a business of follow up. You can have the best products, the best leads but if you do not follow up then you won’t have any sale. We are social animals, we need to interact with each other, solve each other problems and help each other as much as we can. This picture sums it up!
Here is my sincere conversation with my member which I am sharing with everyone. I sent them a downline mailer today. This is an excellent feature in GLN to keep in touch with your members.

Follow up, follow up and follow through is the key ingredient for any SUCCESS!
To tell you the truth, I am also very poor in follow up. I have ten thousand of excuses of not doing the follow up. For couple of weeks, I was very busy with my primary business and I forgot all about follow up with this affiliate marketing business. Then we claim that why we are not success full.
I chatted with Janet who is my Mentor-In-Chief and said I am not seeing any conversion. She immediately asked me am I doing follow up. I said no. She said follow up and creating a long-term relationship is most important ingredients for any success. She said you can have best product, best leads and if there is no follow up then it is very difficult to get conversion.
I would like to give high Kudos to our owner/CEO Jared Meyers that he has fulfilled his promised of follow up and new closing policy. Even though follow up is our responsibility but sometime we get so busy with our other businesses that we do not do the necessary follow up. He will provide the follow up. My wife and I have a successful Medical Billing business for the last 16 years in Canton, Michigan. We both go to the work when it is dark and come back when it is dark. We see the sun from the window of our office not sitting at home. We come home so late that we do not meet our son. He is sleeping or gone to the Gym. In January of 2018, I just thought why not start Affiliate Marketing as everyone doing it sitting near the beach and racking millions of dollars. I thought it’s not a rocket science. I bought couple of programs and started doing the Affiliate Marketing after coming back from our business. I learnt from designing the landing page to advertising on the Facebook. But somehow, didn’t have any conversion. There is no one to help you step by step.
I thought it was easy but did not achieve my goal. I got frustrated and thought I am missing something but I was not able to pinpoint. In 2019, I thought to step back and think what I am doing wrong and what I am missing. In 2019, I didn’t do much as I was busy with our medical business also.
One thing I have learnt in life is “Never, ever give up!” even in 100 years. In 2020, I figured it out that I do not have to go on buying the programs, I need some kind of Mentorship and discipline. Plus, I also need consistency and persistency.
In 2020, due to COVID-19 I got a chance to read more and do some research. In January of 2021, I was looking an article on Safe-Swaps and I found an old article of Janet Legere. It was an interesting article and at the end she has written her cell number and email. I thought for a moment that no one give you his/her cell number right on the internet. Immediately, I thought she must be helpful person.
I called her immediately and she started talking to me as if she knows me for a long time. She said, how can I help you. I told my story and she said why don’t you signup for free account. I thought everyone charges hundreds of dollars for talking and for a course and she is talking free and offering me a free account. I signed up for the free course. The rest is history.
