I wanted to write about how I write an article or a blog post.
First of all, I have to admit that I used to be a cut and paste kind of blog poster. I would look for information on programs or topics that I was promoting or interested in. Then I would cut and paste a blog post together with a few of my own words mixed in.
That was before I learned about the power of using your own words and perspective. Jon and Blain of Click Track Profit have taught me the power and value of using MY perspective. How I go about writing articles and blog posts now, is to write about my own experience with the concept or program that I want to spotlight.
I find that, for me, the best way to do that is to open up a notepad and just start typing. The ideas and the words just come to me as I write.
This article is a great example of that. I had a general idea of what I wanted to say, but I had no idea of what I was going to write.
When I first started blogging it was awkward and clumsy, with lost of rewriting and editing. But, the more I do it the easier and more enjoyable it becomes.
So here is what I suggest you do. Pick a subject you are interested in. Open up a notepad. Start typing. Once you have your ideas typed in front of you edit to your taste and style.
