What Is An Action Plan – How Do I Write An Action Plan

If you are wondering what is an action plan and/or how do I write an action plan then this would be a great video post for you to watch. In a nutshell, what is an action plan? An action plan is a series of steps that can take you towards your dreams plans, and goals. How do I write an action plan? Watch this video and you will begin to understand some of the basics.

What Is An Action Plan – How Do I Write An Action Plan – Example

So now you know what is an action plan. Or rather, what an action plan is. And Janet and Don Legere, owners of contact list builder are having more than a small internet marketing training get together, it is more like a summit in Calgary, Alberta in April. I can promise you this. Anyone who goes to this event will never again ask what is an action plan or how do I write an action plan. I hear through the grapevine that we will in fact be writing one while we are there.

Janet Legere of Contact List Builder

Now for the action plan example that I went through during the video. It goes like this:
You ask yourself how long do you have to accomplish your goal? And this must be an exact thing. It cannot be “more money” or a better life. It has to be either an exact dollar figure or how you want your life to improve. Clearly defined goals. And then you break it down into smaller achievable steps that are not overwhelming. If we focus on your end goal it becomes too much for us and some people quit. And the ones that do will still be wondering what is an action plan. After your goals are very clearly defined break it down into monthly goals, weekly goals, and then daily goals. Focus on the daily goals. The “one step at a time” to success.

What Is An Action Plan – How Do I Write An Action Plan – Final Thoughts

Are you still asking yourself what is an action plan? If so I am not doing my job right in this post. Let me make it perfectly clear this way. If you asked someone that was trying to lose 100 pounds how they were going to accomplish that goal they may have no idea, right? But if you asked them how to lose 1 pound they would tell you exactly how they can do it because they have probably already did that in the past. Now all they have to do is repeat the same process that they used to lose that 1 pound, 99 more times. It is as simple as that. Lather, rinse, repeat. Now if you are still asking yourself how do I write an action plan then you really, really should come and meet us at Alberta. Janet and Don are great people. Steve Gaghagen is great people. Janet has too many people that are awesome to mention in a single post but you all know who you are. All of you great ladies and gents that go to the morning motivator. So I won’t mention Bonnie. Or the Shirley’s. Or Randy from Newfoundland. Or Micheal or John #1 or Robert or tony from way, way south of the border, or…..and if I missed you, and I did miss to many, you can kick my butt in person at this great event. Or even better, “boo” me when I do this performance. Very scary. 😉 – John Jarvis
P.S. I will leave a Contact List Builder Banner below for you to click on and sign up for this great event and sign up for free in the Contact List Builder:

    Hey Janet,

Great post on what is an action plan. Without an action plan, it would be very difficult for anyone to move forward in any endevour. Kind of like driving from Florida to Calgary without a road map. : )

    Thanks for all you do.

I started out with no plan of action of any kind and didn’t succeed. Went from one program to another with no success at all. Then I met Janet Legere and she introduced me to Contact List Builder (CLB). Janet and her wonderful team of help me create an action plan with goals and objectives. From there I created small task that didn’t overwhelm me. Within hours, I had a blog up and running, an autoresponder all set up, and my first post. I had been trying to accomplish this task previously for days.

Having an action plan has completely turned my internet business from unsuccessful to successful. It helped me stay focused and move forward everyday.

Get your plan developed and avoid these five reasons why Internet Marketers are failing today:

    Reason 1:

Beginner Internet marketers sometimes set unrealistic goals for themselves. Set goals for yourself that you can easily attain. By setting and achieving reasonable goals, you build confidence in yourself and your abilities. This allows you to confidently set ever-increasing goals that you can regularly meet. People who set unrealistic goals often fail in Internet marketing because they get discouraged when they do not achieve their goals. After getting discouraged month after month, they often believe they cannot succeed and they stop trying. Don’t let this happen to you.

    Reason 2:

Beginner Internet marketers often lack a unique product. If you want to be really successful in Internet marketing you need a unique product that you can call your own. Having a unique product allows you to harness the power of affiliate marketing. Having hundreds of marketers actively promoting your product allows you to multiply your efforts on a huge scale.

    Reason 3:

Beginner Internet marketers often lack commitment to success. If you want to be successful in Internet marketing you have to make a commitment to becoming successful. This means setting time aside each day for your Internet marketing activities and, more importantly, performing those activities each day without fail. You cannot expect to achieve any level of success in Internet marketing if you can’t commit yourself to doing the very things that you need to do to be successful each and every day without exceptions. It’s that important.

    Reason 4:

Beginner Internet marketers sometimes get caught up in the details. It is important that you know what kind of tasks you are good at. Don’t make the same mistake that countless other Internet marketers make of trying to do everything yourself. There are places online where you can hire inexpensive help, on a per project basis, to perform the tasks that you are not an expert in. For instance, if you are good with graphics programs, then go ahead and do your own graphics. Otherwise, contract the graphics out and spend your valuable time doing something you are good at. The same can be said for web design or copywriting. The point here is that you do what you do best, and you can inexpensively hire others to do the rest. You won’t believe how inexpensive it can be and how fast you can put it all together.

    Reason 5:

Beginner Internet marketers sometimes plan themselves to death (paralysis by analysis). If you want to be a successful Internet marketer, at some point you will have to put a plan into action. Once you have formulated your plan you must be able to take the next step and put that plan into operation. There are so many Internet marketers who come up with a good idea, formulate a plan and never put that plan into action because they constantly analyze and refine that plan – without end. This is called paralysis by analysis. This is not to say that your marketing plan doesn’t need careful consideration and analysis. It does. At some point the analysis must stop and the action must begin. Don’t be afraid to take that first action. You will be amazed at how much easier each successive action becomes.

In conclusion, you might be asking yourself why you should follow these recommendations. That’s a fair question. Many marketers have made each of the mistakes described above and have learned a great deal from those mistakes. This was written so that you could also learn from these mistakes.

The choice is yours, you can create a plan and be successful or continue as your are today and continue failing.
