The Content Marketers Curation Checklist

A checklist is a very important tool for Content Marketers. It provides a process to double check your work. This ensures that you are always providing content to your readers of high quality. A checklist also ensures that all your SEO settings are correct to ensure a better ranking with search engines.

After writing your blog post, go through the following checklist:

  • Have you specified a target keyword?
  • Does the keyword appear in the post three times (including a H2)?
  • Are all images titled correctly (e.g. “Page Keywords” not “image00.png”)?
  • Do all your images have “Image courtesy of …” source acknowledgment?
  • Have you linked externally to the articles source?
  • Have you linked externally to the articles author bio?
  • Have you checked your post for grammar, punctuation, and spelling?
  • Have you asked another member of the team to proofread your post?

An excellent tool for checking your grammar and spelling is an online tool called Grammarly.

The Social Media Marketing Funnel

Everyone knows that to be successful as an online marketer you have to know what a marketing funnel is. If you are not really sure what I am talking about, read on, my friend.

A marketing funnel is one that supports your overall goals. These goals will determine, among other things, your web (blog) and social media marketing content. It all fits together. As you will see.

It is very important that no matter where you are in your marketing online journey, understanding the workings of a marketing funnel is key to your success.

In it’s simplest form, Know, Like, Trust is the perfect way to describe a funnel. At the top of the funnel your prospects are getting to know you. In the middle, prospects are beginning to like you. The prospects who trust you will invest their money or their time with you. That is where conversion lies.
