Hello Everyone, This Is Michael The Traveling Trucker. Today’s adventure: How different would your life be, if you had a mentor at 21? If someone had come along side you, pointed you in the right direction, loved you enough to say,” Hold on, you are going the wrong way”,What would you look like today?

Having a mentor means, In your life, you really want to form relationships that are more significant in every area of life. Are you looking for a new dream? A new passion for lifework?

Do you have a feeling of DESTINY? Do you dream of accomplishing something of major significance? Are you pleased with your progress on that dream to date?

Why is mentoring important? In the early days, mentoring was the chief learning method in the society of artisans where the apprentice spent years at the side of the craftsman learning not only the mechanics of a function but the “way of life” which surrounded it. In the University a student learned in the home of the scholar. Today mentoring is in short supply. There are four major factors that make mentoring so vital for individuals today: Mobility, Manhood/ Womanhood, Models, and Minority status.

Mobility: With families so far apart, Dads and Moms, Uncles and Aunts, which in time past would naturally have become our mentors. We must make a special effort to developed mentoring relationships.

Manhood/Womanhood- People are asking what is a man? What is a woman? How does a boy or girl become a man or woman? Am I a man or woman? How do I become a man or woman? A mentor can help discuss, define, and help a boy or girl enter into Adulthood. It takes time, effort and lots of love.

Models-We need healthy models of roles and relationships that adults perform and experience. In our hyper-technical world, the models we often have are people who relate primarily to machinery, megs, RAM, and baud rates. We need models of people who can relate not only to machinery and technology but also to people and life.

Minority Status-In our generation, leaders are rapidly becoming a minority voice in terms of absolutes, values, perspective, and worldwide views.

Today, let’s discuss, being a commuter. You will trading time for dollars, working for someone else, making them rich. They tell you when to get up in the morning, what time to be at work, when you can have lunch, how late you work. They determine how long you get to go on vacation. What schools your children go to. How big your house is, what type of car you drive. We all know this is based on how much money they are willing to pay you. Most of the world is on the payment plan for everything- based on how much money is available from you working for someone else. Being a trucker, I’m really a commuter. 2500 miles a week. I leave on Monday, back home on Friday. If you are a commuter, your weekend is jam-packed with, cutting the yard, going to events, time with the family, church, relax time, laundry, washing the cars, the list is endless.

Computer- You decide how much you want to make. This takes planning, execution and action. You set your own hours. Sleep till you wake up. Go to the (OFFICE, YOURS) in your pajamas if you want. You build your list. Build your brand,( Mine is Michael The Traveling Trucker), you use all resources available to you, social media, apps, advertising, coop. Use things like canva, to create lead capture pages, The Conversion Pros for thank you pages, autoresponder, and use viral mailers. You can create an e-book to sell. Write a hard back-book. Become an Affiliate marketer, Multi-Level marketer. The possibilities are endless.

MOMENT OF TRUTH- Search your heart, mind, and soul. Do you long to be free from the RAT RACE. Have more time, money, and family vacation? You will NEVER have what you really want from a life working for someone else. There are expensive courses out their, and inexpensive courses. Find what fits you best. GO AHEAD-GIVE IT SOME THOUGHT. In my life, I have acted many times to situations without having or seeing all the facts. Some good and some not so good. The decisions we make determine what the outcome will be. If you don’t have all the facts, disaster can crash around you. It’s OK to believe without seeing. JESUS said,” Blessed are those who believe but have not seen. Sometimes believing in our spirit, that the outcome for us is right even though all the facts are not present. It was this way for me in business. I knew it was right for me, even though not all the facts ( information) about this business were present that I could see. I had to dig deep within the model of the business to find the wisdom to help me make the right decision. Touching people’s lives through positive words.

Hello Everyone, This Is Michael The Traveling Trucker. Today’s adventure is: Take care so you don’t have to erase everything. Alexa, Amazon’s voice-controlled device, has an interesting feature: it can erase everything you say. Whatever you’ve asked Alexa to do, whatever information you’ve asked Alexa to retrieve, one simple sentence(“Delete everything I said today”). Sweeps it all clean, as if it never happened. It’s to bad that the rest of our life doesn’t have this capability. Every misspoken word, every disgraceful act, every moment we wish we could erase-we’d just speak the command, and the entire mess would disappear. We all know from our own experiences that this will not happen.

How to Respect Yourself and Others: What exactly is respect? It’s the sense of worth or personal value that you attach to someone. Respect is an overall evaluation you give someone based on many factors – what that person is doing with their life, how they treat you and others, whether they are honest or not and if they seem to consistently do good things, large or small, for other people. In short, respect is a positive view that you form of how someone is living their life. On the other hand, self-respect is your view of how you’re living your life.

Respecting yourself means giving and defining your own worth and value as a human being. Think about this: if you do not respect yourself, it will be more difficult for you to respect anyone else. So it all begins with self-respect. You must be honest with yourself and with others. In order to be your best, you must feel your best. Part of learning self-respect involves respecting the beliefs of others. This next one is vital- Knowing and exercising good manners and proper conduct will make you feel good about yourself, and, in return, others will respect you for your good manners and proper conduct.

One of the best ways to show respect for someone is to truly listen to another’s point of view. Obviously, we’ll not always agree with one another on every topic (and you should never adopt a point of view with which you do not agree), but we should allow each other to have and express our own views – regardless of whether we agree with them or not. Keep this in mind: you owe everyone a basic level of respect for being a fellow human being, but your level of respect for others will vary from person to person. Just like your self-respect will grow as you master the ideals discussed above, your level of respect for others will vary depending upon your view of them and their own self-respect.

As I grow older, I find that I really enjoy people and the differences we have. I love to invite people over for a meal. Just a relaxed atmosphere. We can talk easily about any subject. We recently had people over to the house -ages 20 to 70. It was so interesting to hear the views of what going on in the world and how they handle the situations. No one got mad, no one raised their voice. We mostly laughed and truly enjoyed each other.
