See yourself in pursuit of something greater than who you are, and be willing to pay the price to get where you want to be. Your past has a way of labeling you.

If you allow your past experiences as well as perceived shortcomings to define who you are and how you see your life, you will never see the breakthrough that GOD has for you.

You are what the word says you are and you have what the word says you have. Rise up this day and shout I AM DOING GREAT THINGS.

God gave you two ears and one mouth, so listen twice as much. There are those who can and those who can’t. They are both RIGHT.

Don’t hold back any longer. Give it all you have, then go take a nap.

HOW DO I START?

I have gotten this question from a number of people wanting to start their own Marketing business.

First- Is this really something you are going to be committed to for the long haul?

Second- Do you have MONEY to invest in yourself? Business takes MONEY. Then do you have a budget for investing monthly into yourself?

You will spend time building your list, without people, NO BUSINESS.

Every Guru will tell you, you can make millions instantly. Just send us your money and we’ll do it for you. Laughs out LOUD, sorry.

Picking a business to follow should not be hard. Look for the people who have been around for awhile. Look at their program earnestly and determine if you can duplicate it.

You start with a great funnel. This is your complete set up.

Lead Capture Page, Thank You Page which tells your lead what the business is about and how they can join with you. Let your people know to check their emails (all of them) for the WELCOME email which will be sent.

Tip Of The Day: Many will fill out the form-lead capture page and not remember they did it. Many people surf the internet for hours clicking every page they can, filling out form after form.

You will have to follow up with phone calls if they leave number, text them, and email them. You will know who is interested and who is NOT. People want free.

That’s ok because we can start them off this way, and they can still make money. Let them know the real value of being an UPGRADED MEMBER.

Advertising you business daily is KEY. The more people who see YOU ( YOUR BRAND) the better. There are so many ways to advertise. Viral mailers, solo ads-Udimi, co-op shares, social media…..

Trust me when I say, Building a steady stream of income will take TIME. Please don’t QUIT just because you don’t see instant success. Build strong and steady.

It is important to understand the importance of having a “real” conversation with a prospect. This also saves you time in qualifying your list and only talking to people who are serious and ready. Be sure they indicate at least 50.00 available to get started now; otherwise I advise against you calling unless you want the practice. When I capture a lead, I generally ask for their phone number along with first name and email address. Then, I send the following text which is called “The Magic Text”. Hey {Prospect Name}, Rob here, your {Company Name} sponsor. Go to {Your Facebook Profile} and send me a friend request so I can have you schedule with me and we can get you earning ASAP, ok?

This is a good qualifier as I may be able to connect with them on Facebook to have them set an appointment with me. If they are unresponsive, then we move to a phone call where we can interview them directly.

One of the greatest lessons on talking to people is to do it often, every day on phone calls. This will give you the confidence you need to carry on a conversation without feeling like you are lost or don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s all about talking to a friend, best friend, or loved one. It should be that natural when talking to people about your business. Let yourself flow, asking questions, and waiting for people to respond. Then ask more questions, feeling them out to see where best to help them.

We acquired “mentor” from the literature of ancient Greece. In Homer’s epic The Odyssey, Odysseus was away from home fighting and journeying for 20 years. During that time, Telemachus, the son he left as a babe in arms, grew up under the supervision of Mentor, an old and trusted friend. When the goddess Athena decided it was time to complete the education of young Telemachus, she visited him disguised as Mentor and they set out together to learn about his father. Today, we use the word mentor for anyone who is a positive, guiding influence in another (usually younger) person’s life.

What makes a mentor or business coach? Serving as a mentor brings many challenges and rewards, with the best mentors working to shape their mentees into leaders, rather than just good followers. If done well, the long-term impact of mentoring can offer life- and career-changing benefits to both parties.

I found DEEDS a truly profound word. Deed meaning- something that is carried out, and act or action. Do you see where I’m going? Building YOUR business.

Title meaning- an identifying name. Written work. An appellation of dignity, honor, distinction, or preeminence attached to a person or family. Make your title one of distinction. Mine is ” Michael the Traveling Trucker”. I love what I do. Traveling around the country, seeing new sites, then blogging about them.

CROSS OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE

I pulled my rig over to the side of the road. This Is Michael The Traveling Trucker. I looked out across the wide river. There were houses, ball fields, playgrounds, picnic tables. I could only see these things through my binoculars.

What I really wanted, was to be where the people were. It looked inviting, fun and a great place to rest. My problem was my semi and trailer. I couldn’t take them there, dang it. So how did I get to the other side?

The Wise Old Owl

Why can’t we all be like that wise old bird?

Wow, What words of wisdom. This Is Michael the Traveling Trucker. There is a connection between wisdom and limiting what we say. Proverbs 10:19 says, In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise.

We are wise to be careful about what we say or how much we say in certain situations. It makes sense to guard our words when we are angry.

” Be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath”.

There was a situation that transpired with my oldest daughter, where a young woman can up to the gas window where she works. She looked up and called the young women, sir by mistake. The young woman walked away before my daughter could apologize. She went and told her mother, who came to the window and began to curse my daughter out. This shows me how shallow people are becoming. My instinct was to find this woman and give her a tongue lashing because I still want to protect my girl.

My daughter has true wisdom. She said, Dad, don’t bother. This woman was not worth the time to confront and possibly get into trouble. This lesson speaks volumes to me. Yep, Be A Wise Old Owl.

Many of life’s problems come from two things: We act without thinking or we keep thinking without acting. Guard your hearts above all else, for it determines the course of your life. While I sit here on Saturday night, I want my thoughts to reflect the love that permeates every pore of my being. It’s nice to know I don’t have to be rude, crude and socially unacceptable.

Timing is everything….This is a must when we speak and the words we choose to use. Dealing with people is very difficult, so choose to encourage, love, and respect ALL. Knowing the right time to speak is beneficial to the speaker as well as the hearer.

How well do you deal with rude people? Is it better to walk away and say nothing? Let’s all say nice things and be loving to those around us. In this final saying from Psalm 5:3, ” LISTEN TO MY VOICE IN THE MORNING, LORD. EACH MORNING I BRING MY REQUESTS TO YOU AND WAIT EXPECTANTLY.
