Asking Tough Questions

Hello Readers, Michael The Traveling Trucker with BIG NEWS.

When doing business of any type, are you asking the right, sometimes tough questions?

Curious Leadership isn’t about asking questions — it’s about asking the hard questions. The ones you might be afraid to hear the answers to. Fear, however, can lead to your greatest fears coming true. While hearing the answer might be painful, not hearing it will only compound the issue. So how does one become a curious leader?

Leaders are free to ask questions — and provide solutions. The combined brainpower of your team is larger than the brainpower of you alone. Talking to your team, building trust is a two-way street.

A KEY COMPONENT-LISTEN. Meditate on the conversation. Write out what you hear. Meditate some more. Then examine and execute the right plan. Keep the integrity of the team ALWAYS.

Create a Plan and Be Consistent. Ask the Same Question More than Once. Turn Ideas into Action.

Why Is Curiosity Important? It makes your mind active instead of passive. It makes your mind observant of new ideas. It opens up new worlds and possibilities. It brings excitement into your life.

How to Develop Curiosity: Keep an open mind. Ideas are fun to explore. Don’t take things as granted. Dig deeper and find out what is hidden, then use it. NEVER label something as boring. Curious people are unlikely to call something as boring. Instead, they always see it as a door to an exciting new world.

See learning as something fun. Excitement rocks the creative world bringing new ideas and solutions to any situation.

Listen more than you talk.

This sounds simple, but the key to great questions is active listening. Active listening is the process of understanding what another person is saying — both explicitly and implicitly — while showing then you are engaged and interested.

Research shows that when we rush decision, we often regret them even if they end up being correct. It will benefit you to work with people who display curiosity. They tend to ask questions to further the conversation. Not to play it safe.
